Kent and Medway Police Force Officers Ball    
23rd December 2008 - Matthew has been asked to perform at The Corn Exchange Rochester for the Kent and Medway Police Force. He will be performing two sets, approximately 30 mins per set. The first set will be at around 8.30pm and then the second set at 10pm. Each set will consist of five songs. The Ball will also be attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Medway, Council Officials and VIPS. 7pm.    
   

   
Private Function - Essex    

6th December 2008 - Matthew has been asked to perform at a private function at the East Thurrock Community Centre in Essex.

   
   

   
Gifted Young Gravesham    

15th November 2008 - Matthew will be performing at a showcase of talented youngsters called 'Young, Gifted and Gravesham' at 7pm. This is being supported by Gravesham Borough Council and Kent Youth Service.



Tickets will be on sale at £5.00 each and can be purchased from Woodville Halls Box Office on 01474 337774 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday. Alternatively tickets can be purchased from Jodie Hamilton (Senior Youth Worker) at The Grand  on 01474 320123.

   
   

   
Dartford Christmas Lights    
15th November 2008 - Matthew has been asked to turn on the Christmas lights in Dartford at One Bell Corner. To be confirmed.    
   

   
Actz Factor Final    
14th November 2008 - Matthew has been invited to judge the final of the Actz Factor 2008 Junior Competition. Matthew won the adult competition last year in November.    
   

   

Cerebral Palsy Care Sapphire Charity Ball

18th October 2008 - Matthew has been asked to appear at the Cerebral Palsy Care Sapphire Charity Ball which will be held at Gillingham Football Club at 6.15pm. He will be performing four songs, details of those to follow later.

Matthew has been asked by the Chairman and Trustees of the CPC (Cerebral Palsy Care) to become a Patron. The charity works with children and adults with cerebral palsy and is based locally. Matthew is very proud to represent the charity and will be attending some events when his commitments allow him to do so.

12th October 2008 - Matthew has been asked to perform at the Copperfields Residential Home  in Higham at 2.30pm.    
   

   
Gads Hill Autumn Concert    
9th October 2008 - Matthew will be performing at his schools autumn concert which takes place at the Royal Dockyard Church, Chatham Dockyard.    
   

   
Concert in Sittingbourne    

4th October 2008 - Matthew has been asked to perform with the Celestine Singers in a concert with performances from the opera 'Carmen'. The concert is called 'Another evening of musical delight with the Celestine Singers'. This is in aid of the Wormshill Childrens Playground. The tickets are priced at £10 each which includes a buffet supper and are available on the door. The concert also features the works of Gilbert and Sullivan and takes place at St Giles Church, The Street, Wormshill in Sittingbourne at 7pm.

   
   

   
Sportsmans Dinner    
2nd October 2008 - Matthew has been asked to perform at a Sportsmans Dinner at Gillingham Football Club. Guest Speaker for the evening will be Jack Charlton OBE, former Leeds United Player and coveted 1966 England world cup player and Republic of Ireland International Manager. Jack has had a glittering career which earned him 774 club appearances and 96 goals to his name. He was awarded honorary Irish Citizenship and Freedom of The City of Dublin in 1994. In 2005 Jack Charlton was inducted into the English Football Hall Of Fame in recognition of his contribution to the game of football, a true footballing Legend. Also appearing will be Gary Kemsley, a first class comedian and host, known for his professional delivery and sassy material.

Concert Rehearsal    
30th September 2008 - Matthew to rehearse with Celestine Singers for the concert in Sittingbourne in October.    
   

   
H-Factor    
23rd September 2008 7.30pm. Matthew has been invited to participate in the H-Factor competition in Laindon, Essex, in the adult competition. Matthew  won the Junior competition in May 2006 when he was 13 years old. 7.30pm.    
   

   
Wedding TV    
22nd September 2008 - Matthew attended a private audition for Wedding TV. He auditioned in front of four judges who were Sophie Anderton, Mikey and Grace from Big Brother 7 and a family friend. The winner will get the opportunity to perform at a celebrity couples wedding next year and possible coverage in a magazine.    
   

   
Concert Rehearsal    
15th September 2008 - Matthew met with the Celestine Singers for a concert rehearsal in Sittingbourne which takes place in October.    
   

   
Gifted Young Gravesham    
10th September 2008 - Matthew is to audition for 'Gifted Young Gravesham' at St Georges C of E school in Gravesend at 5.20pm. If he is successful he will appear at The Woodville Hallls in a Showcase on the 15th November 2008 .    
   

   
Bluewater    

30th August 2008 - Matthew will be performing at the Winter Garden at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent at the request of the Bar Wizards and Damon Scott from Britain's Got Talent, finalists 2007.

Matthew performed four songs at Bluewater. Other artists performing were Lauren Ives (X-Factor contestant 2008) and Fil Straughan (winner of Bluewater's Got Talent), Avenue (a new boyband who were on X-Factor 2006) and Raen (an Australian girl group). Also appearing were Hoop Lala from Britain's Got Talent.

Bluewater's Got Talent Final    

26th August 2008 - Matthew has reached the Grand Final of Bluewaters Got Talent at Bluewater Shopping Centre,The Winter Garden. Matthew's performance is at 12.20pm.

The competition was judged by Damon Scott and Bubbles, Damon was runner up in Britains Got Talent 2007. The other judges were Neil and The Bar Wizards who were Britains Got Talent Finalists 2007. The competition was won by Fil Straughan from London.

Hoo Outdoor Concert    

24th August 2008 - Matthew will be appearing at a local outdoor concert in Hoo. It takes place at the BAE Sports and Social Club. He is due on stage at 1.45pm and will be selling and signing CD's after at approx 2.30pm.

   
   

   
Patron of CPC    
22nd August 2008 - Matthew has been asked by the Chairman and Trustees of the CPC (Cerebral Palsy Care) to become a Patron. The charity works with children and adults with cerebral palsy and is based locally. Filming of video    
21st August 2008 - Matthew will be filming his brand new video for his three new songs at The Parish Hall in Chobham, Surrey. 11am to 5pm.    
   

   
Gillingham Football Club Appearance    
16th August 2008 - Matthew  was invited to Gillingham Football Club by Paul Scally, Chairman, to perform pre match. He sang the club song 'The Last Waltz' to approx 5000 supporters. He was then invited to watch the match from the Directors Box and to go to the boardroom for hospitality at half time and full time.    
   
   

   
Bluewater Shopping Centre Talent Show    

12th August 2008 - Matthew entered the Bluewater Shopping Centre Talent Show at the Winter Garden and got through the heat to reach the Grand Final.

   
   

   
Recording Studios    
11th August 2008 - Matthew will be at the recording studio in Surrey with Mark Taylor and Barry Murray. They are the song writers finalising the three tracks writtten specially for Matthew. It is classical music with a celtic twist. The songs are titled:

Dartford Festival    
20th July 2008 - Matthew appeared at the Dartford Festival at the Central Park, Princes Road. He performed alongside Chas and Dave and from Britains Got Talent, Kate and Gin the dancing dog, Sophie Mae (belly dancer) and the martial arts boys Strike.

On this day he also appeared and performed at a private function in Uxbridge to Brandon Block celebrity DJ, Vanessa Feltz and partner Ben Ofoedu as well as Jess Conrad (singer). Matthew received overwhelming praise and a rapturous response from all the guests. He also met Charlotte Kelly who is a gifted blind singer/songwriter and Sylence an American singer/songwriter who thought Matthew had an amazing voice and talent.

15th July 2008 - Matthew was back in the recording studios in Surrey, this time to record the second new song called 'When You Have Love'.

   
   

   
Dartford Festival promotion    

12th July 2008 - Matthew was asked to appear on Radio Kent's, Paul James show to promote the Dartford Festival on the 20th july 2008 with local band 'The Sound Casters'. 9am. He also performed to local shoppers in Dartford with the band at 1pm.

   
   

   
Gads Hill Senior Prize Giving    

11th July 2008 - Matthew attended the Gads Hill Senior Prize Giving ceremony and he received half house colours for his contribution to music at school. His award was presented to him by Brigadier Ad Harking OBE and the mayor and mayoress of Medway,  David and Kirstine Carr. This ceremony took place at the Royal Historic Dockyard church in Chatham.

10th July 2008 - 1000 copies of Matthew's new cd 'Onwards and Upwards' were collected.

   
   

   
Whizz Kids    

24th June 2008 - Matthew was filmed by Whizz Kids entertainment production company at home for the Channel Five programme 'Help I've Got A High Maintenance Child' to be televised soon. Dates to be confirmed.

   
   

   
Meeting re album    

23rd June 2008 - Matthew attended a meeting with the manufacturer regarding his new album. The art work, copyright and mastering were all arranged for collection in July 2008.

   
   

   
Meeting with Saba    

18th June 2008 - Matthew had a meeting with John Downie from Saba, 'UK unsigned the talent show'. Matthew won this at the Hackney Empire in March 2008 for possible business support/sponsorship from the local arts council. After discussion bids were placed.

   
   

   
New CD recording    

16th and 17th June 2008 - Matthew went into the recording studios at the Sunlight Centre in Gillingham to record his new album which is titled 'Onwards and Upwards'. It is a mixture of classical/sacred/ballads and songs from the shows. You can buy Matthew's cd here.

   
   

   
High Halstows Got Talent    

13th June 2008 - Matthew was asked to be a judge at the High Halstows Got Talent show at High Halstow primary school. Matthew used to be a pupil at this school. He signed autographs and gave cds to the children after the show. The winner of the competition was Patrick and the runners up were Georgia Horsley and Scarlett.

2nd May 2008 - Matthew has been asked to appear at this concert taking place at The Corn Exchange, Rochester, Kent. He will be performing a showcase of six songs. Grand Final Mad Tiger Talent Show    
1st May 2008 - Matthew has reached the grand final of The Mad Tiger Talent Show. It has a 1st prize of £1000, 2nd Prize of £300 and a 3rd Prize of £200 and your song played on the radio.    
   

   
Showcase songs    
28th April 2008 - Matthew had a meeting at some recording studios in Surrey. He met with Barry Murray and Mark Taylor who are two famous songwriters. They wrote 'In the Summertime' for Mungo Jerry and many more. They were asked by Tony Clayman (Matthew's agent) to write three or four original songs for Matthew to showcase to the major record labels. The first song is called 'When We Were Timeless'.    
   

   
Gala Dinner    

27th April 2008 - Matthew will be performing at a Gala dinner for
the Dave Lee's Happy Holidays Charity at Gillingham FC,
Priestfield Stadium, Gillingham, Kent.
There will also be a Live Auction. 7pm.



This picture is of Matthew and Jess Conrad, a very famous singer from the '60s who is still very popular today. Jess was captain of the celebrity football team and attended the gala dinner in aid of Dave Lees Happy Holidays charity at Gillingham Football Club on 27th April 2008.

10th April 2008 - Matthew will be taking part in the Mad Tiger talent show at Dartford Social Club. 7.30pm.    
   

   
Dave Lee Annual Show    

6th April 2008 - Matthew appeared as a special guest performer on The Dave Lee MBE Annual Show for charity at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, Kent. Dave is a comedian, compere, singer and Director of Gillingham Football Club.

Also appearing were:

Dave Lee MBE (comedian/director Gillingham FC), The Tiller Girls, Shaun Williamson (Barry from Eastenders), Paul James from Radio Kent, Barbara Sturgeon from Radio Kent, Stephen Mulhern from Britain's got Talent 'the aftershow', The Drifters (soul group), Neil James (comedian), Lloyd Hollett (comedian), Tony Dibben from Capital Radio formerley of KMFM, Brian Conley (comedian), Barry Mason (song writer - the man who wrote 'Delilah' for Tom Jones and 'There Goes My First Love' for the Drifters), Tony Gerrard (comedian), Victoria (violinist), Don Mescall (singer), The Odd Balls (entertainment act), PH Moriarty (actor - Harry the Hatchett in 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels'), Gary Bushell (journalist and comedian) and Paul Scally Chairman of Gillingham FC  unfortunately could not attend.

Matthew received a standing ovation from over 1000 people. He signed autographs and cds and had photos with many fans in the foyer after the show. The show was in aid of Dave Lee's Happy Holidays, a charity which provides holidays for the disabled, sick and underprivileged children of Kent and their immediate families.

Grand Final Search for a Star 2008    

5th April 2008 - Matthew has reached the final of Search for a Star 2008, the Midlands top talent show which takes place in Longbridge, Birmingham. 7pm - 11pm.

Grand Final UK Unsigned


30th March 2008 - Matthew has reached the Grand Final of The UK Unsigned national talent competition which takes place at Hackney Empire, London.  Tickets are available for the final by calling 0208 776 6776 or Hackney Empire direct on 0208 985 2424. They are priced at £15.00 & £12.50. Live performances on the night also by Jai Amore, Mizz Teejah,Torcharah and GI Joe new release 'Kracking Up'.  7pm - 11pm.
Judges and presenters confirmed for this event include Kanya King from MOBO Awards, Jay Shaun, Nathan and NDubz, plus executives from Sony BMG, Universal, and Shalit Global Management. 

**UPDATE** Matthew is the UK UNSIGNED NATIONAL WINNER TEEN VOCALS 2008. He received a glass trophy and certificate and will now compete in an all winners final to be confirmed soon.

Gads Hill Spring Music Festival    
27th March 2008 - Gads Hill Spring Music Festival at the Royal Historic Dockyard Church, Chatham. Matthew will be competing in the festival and singing a vocal solo, a duet with Abigail Meade, and a piano composition. 7pm.

**UPDATE** Matthew was the outright winner of the Spring Music Festival 2008 repeating his win of 2006. He also came 1st in the senior vocal solo section, class 11 singing 'Toreador' and 1st in the senior duet section, class 13 with Abigail Meade singing 'All I ask Of You' from the Phantom Of The Opera.

The adjudicator was Mr Simon Lock, the area manager for Kent Music, who studied violin at the Wells Cathedral Music School and the Royal Academy of Music in London.

15th March 2008 - Matthew will be competing in the Semi Finals of the Midland's top talent show SEARCH FOR A STAR 2008 at the Austin Sports and Social Club, Longbridge, Birmingham. 7pm.

Rochester Cathedral    
6th March 2008 - Matthew performed at the Business Guild Dinner in the Crypt at Rochester Cathedral for The Dean Adrian Newman and The Chambers Of Commerce. 8.30pm. It was here Matthew was spotted by Paul Scally (Chairman of Gillingham Football Club) and his wife Sara. They were so impressed with Matthew's performance and obvious talent that he was invited to dinner as a special guest pre match at Priestfield Stadium.  He was also asked to perform at the Player of the Year Awards at the end of April 2008.    
   

   
Semi Final UK Unsigned    
2nd March 2008 - Matthew is competing in the semi finals of a teen talent show for UK Unsigned. He entered this competition originally in February 2007. It is run by SABA (Society for the Advancement of British Arts)    
   

   
Fresh Blood Talent Showcase    

1st March 2008 - Matthew will be performing at the Fresh Blood talent showcase 2008. It will take place at Laban, Creekside, London. This will be supporting the blood transfusion unit. The event will be attended by Island Records, Urban TV and hosted by Choice FM. Doors open 5.15pm. Special appearances by Doctor, NRG, Osirus, Andre (saxophonist), Kajo and more. 6pm - 10pm.

TV Appearance - Maddie's Got Talent    
24th January 2008 - Matthew appearing on Red TV, SKY channel 186, Maddies Got Talent Show 7.30pm to 8.30pm. He is also appearing on this show on 26th January at 5pm and on the 27th January at 12 noon and 7.30pm.

This was Channel U's 5th birthday party in a club called 'Dust' in London. Matthew's song 'Memories' is on the album as Young Maestro, The Firm & Ozmosis and it is track number 19 on CD 2. Available on cd and download from 28th Jan 2008.

The party featured live performances from N-DUBZ, DJ IRONIK, DARREN B, YOUNG MAESTRO and OZMOSIS.

Matthew got to meet Dappy from N DUBZ, DJ IRONIK, DARREN B, BIG NARSTIE and Louise Glover (playboy model)

Matthew is currently working with Big Narstie on another CD to bring rap and opera together.

Matthew was interviewed by Channel U supported by his manager Steve Long.

Fresh Blood    
19th January 2008 - Matthew auditioned for 'FRESH BLOOD' talent showcase at Greenwich University, Old Royal Naval College, Park Row, London.This event is supporting the Blood Transfusion Service and is a multi cultural show. 4.10pm.    
   

   
   

Red TV

 

10th January 2008 - Matthew was filmed by RED TV sky channel 186 in their Birmingham studios for a new tv show called 'Maddie's Got Talent Show'.  Date to be shown on TV yet to be confirmed.

The photo shows Matthew with Madeleine Roberts who works for RED TVand is the presenter of this talent show.
